Give It To Me, Baby!!

Wow, can y'all believe that Christmas has come...and gone??? Zip, POW! What a whirlwind this holiday has been. I sincerely hope that everyone had a joyful holiday--whether it be Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Yule or Boxing Day.

Speaking of Boxing Day... I just don't get Boxing Day. I mean, I put an empty box out on my living room table on Boxing Day eve; danced around the room with a box on my head singing "The Boxer"....and come morning...that box I put out was still EMPTY. I tell ya, it has COMPLETELY destroyed my belief in the Boxing Day Fairy.

On to the business at hand! It's the last Wednesday of the month which means it's time for Bombshell Stamps monthly BLOG HOP!!! YIPPEEE! This month's theme, devised by Miss Alison, is "Give It To Me, Baby!" --translated that means we have been directed to make anything BUT a card with our Bombshell Stamps...to give away as a gift to someone else! This means frames, jewelry, decorative pieces, nick-nacks, whosits, whatnots, even fancy boxes (I still don't get Boxing Day)...ANYTHING as long as it is not, Not, NOT a card. And, as always, there is a prize for one lucky hopper!!! Just leave comments on everyone's blog for a chance to WIN!!!

So, if you hopped over here from Mary's blog...you have landed in the right place. If not, or if you get lost...just click on the link below and start at the Bombshell site. You won't want to miss any of these FaBuLoUs creations!

So, here is my project (better late, than not at all!) I created a wreath (of sorts) using the Bombshell Angel stamp set and the Butterfly Queen set. It's my take on Ying/Yang--spicy/sweet, steamy/frosty, naughty/nice. This was SO MUCH FUN to make! Well, sort of fun...the scoring was kind of a pain...but, I am now a PRO scorer. Score, score, score, score, score. I had fun dressing up the girls. I TOTALLY stole the rosette wreath idea from my bestee, Jodi...you can see her version HERE-- what can I say...she inspires me. <3

  1. About Boxing Day....when you danced around the table did you make sure you went counter-clockwise? If you don't go counter-clockwise you just cheese off the Boxing Day Fairy and she won't come.

Plus it helps if you live in a country that celebrates Boxing Day as an actual holiday not just as a shopping day.

    tee hee

  2. Ooooohhh I can't wait....the day is almost over here....and about boxing day...we don't even a a boxingday here,it is just called second christmas day and is just as boring as the 1st.....I am sorry to read the dancing around the table and putting the box on your head didn't work ;)

  3. I think the boxing day fairy only comes to people with spiffy accents. That's why we never see here at our house - wait are you supposed to see her or are you sure it's not a him.

At any rate keep trying and if you succeed let me know the secret ritual - darn Brits are so secretive!

I'll be back later to see your project. Got a real kick out of your picture.

  4. Awesome wreath! I especially love the fishnet stockings!:)

  5. Totally epic. This is just plain fun. I can't decide which side I like best. Both the girls look great and that's a heck of a lot of rosettes.

  6. I don;t have a CLUE how you did what you did with Butterfly Queen, but I LOVE her!!! Great addition of the zipper to Angel's outfit. I am pretty sure I never, ever would have done that many rosettes and still been sane, or married, lol! Great project.

  7. LOVE this. It is so very beautiful. Both ladies are great, but the way you colored the Nice girl is spectacular. I keep looking at her again and again!

  8. OK. I prefer the naughty side. Isn't that shocking???

Wow. That's a whole lotta rosettes. That would make me insane. I do hope you had a die for that, since the only time I've made rosettes, I didn't and now I'm certifiable.

As far as the Boxing Day thing goes, in America you must have a Boxer or a Boxcar first. Otherwise it won't work no matter if you have an accent or not.

  9. Hot, hot, haute!!! Wow, this was SO worth waiting for! Freakin' cool. I don't know how you managed to make all of those (beautiful) rosettes. Amazing job!

  10. Thanky kindly for the luv, ladies! And Kathi...the rosettes...I hand-made each one. Nothin' but my Martha Stewart score thingy, paper, and my bone folder.

    Yes, I'm certifiable.

  11. Wow... Torrey... This is absolutely awesome!!! I love the way you did the paper flowers and your images are so beautiful!!! I love your coloring!!! Have a wonderful and safe New Year!!! Hugs!!!

Thank you for taking the time to comment! It is always wonderful to get virtual pats on the back!! I truly appreciate every comment...they are little bits of love.
